We still need over 50 volunteers to run everything at Monster Bash. We can use parents, middle school and high school students, and Gombert alumni to run the games and cake walk, sell concessions, and be part of our haunted house. Please consider filling in a spot if your family is attending the event. If you are new to Gombert, this is great way to get to know other parents. School Supply Kits for 2015-16

It's not too late to order school supply kits for next year!!!  Online orders are due June 20th. 

School supply kits are the easiest way to get supplies for next year.  When August rolls around it will be one less thing for you to worry about!  

Each kit comes with everything on the school supply list (with the exception of ear buds, these are not included in the kit).  The kits are prepackaged and available for pick up at the PTA's back to school Ice Cream Social on August 17th. 

You can order online by clicking HERE   Enter school ID GOM007.  Online orders will be accepted through June 20th. 

Or you can submit a form, with full payment, to the school office. Click HERE for the form. Paper orders are due by June 8th.

Screen Free Week - Volunteers Needed

Screen Free Week is April 20th through 24th

This year, we will be playing SCREEN FREE WEEK BINGO, where students have the chance to earn prizes just by spending part of the week screen free! 

To make this event GREAT, we need donations and volunteers! We are looking for board games and/or outdoor games that parents would be willing to lend us for the week. The outdoor games must be something we could safely use in the Gym. In addition, we are looking for volunteers to supervise games on both the 21st and the 24th. If you have something you would like to lend and/or you would like to volunteer to help either evening, please contact Krista Kelch at kristakelch@yahoo.com."

FMSC Volunteer Opportunity

                     

The PTA has reserved 120 spots for a unique service opportunity during Screen Free Week, on April 23.   Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization with a food-packing facility in Aurora that partners with various distribution organizations to ship meals to malnourished children in over 70 countries of the world.  

This volunteer opportunity is "hands on" and is an assembly line setup for packing meals.  Volunteers must be at least 5 years of age.  The packing night includes an introduction and short training followed with a 45-60 minute packing event.  It is a fun-filled experience with music and friendly team competitions all while making a difference.

WVHS BAND BOOSTER CRAFT FAIR!!!!

On Saturday March 14, 2015 from 9 am - 3 pm, the WVHS Band Boosters will be hosting their 10th Annual Craft Fair and Vendor Showcase. Over 75 artists, crafters, and vendors will have original pieces and custom designed items for sale including spirit wear, greeting cards, tapestries, wood carvings, chocolates, scarves, handmade soaps, purses, skin care and many more one of a kind items. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students, and free for children under 5 years old. Parking is free. There will also be a Raffle and a Bake Sale, and concessions will be available.

Still PTSA Seeking Nominations for 2015-2016 Executive Board

Calling all young scientists! 

The Gombert PTA will be hosting the eleventh annual Gombert Science Fair on Monday, April 20 at 6:30 pm.  For details and registration see http://gombert.oursciencefair.com

Box Tops DUE!

Box Tops are due this Wednesday, Feb. 25!

In order to receive our final Box Tops payment for the year in April, the Box Tops must be postmarked by March 1.

Please send your Box Tops with y0ur student(s) on the sheets that were sent home at the beginning of February OR in snack sized bags of no more than 50 Box Tops each.

The classroom, in each grade level, with the highest number of Box Tops turned in this month, will win a 

"PJ's and Popcorn Party" courtesy of the PTA!
