The Community features classroom projects submitted by public school teachers, which have been hand-selected by members to reflect our interests and passions. 

By way of background, DonorsChoose.org is an online charity connecting individuals, like you, to classrooms in need. Public school teachers post project requests that range from a $100 classroom library, to a $600 digital projector, to a $1,000 trip to the zoo. People like you can choose which projects to fund and then get photos and thank-you letters from the classroom.

Eat at Culver's to benefit Gombert!

Your Culver's team and Gombert PTA are excited to invite you to come to a benefit day for Gombert school. the PTA will recieve 20% of all the sales (drive-thru, carryout and lobby) that that we bring into Culver's on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.

There will be a balloon artist creating designs between 4-8 pm. We would appreciate your support to help us raise funds for our students. Please join many teachers, staff and other Gombert families in this day of fun and community. 

Don't forget to tell your register person that you are there for Gombert and they will register your purchase for our school.

Fall Classroom Parties - November 26th

We need volunteers for the fall classroom parties!! Particularly in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.   The parties are on Tuesday, November 26th from 2 pm until 3 pm.  

We are also in need of a Grade Level Coordinator for 2nd grade. This person would be responsible for planning the party for that grade (craft, snack and/or game).

Monster Bash Volunteers Needed!!!!

We need more volunteers for the Monster Bash !! 

We need help for the following:

Set-Up For: 

• Grave Yard  
• Ghost
• Trees 
• Island
• Maze
• Pirate

Set Up time begins at 1:00 but if you can't make it until later we can still use your help!

We also need actors for the Haunted House!  Pirates, Ghosts, Witches, and other areas of the House.  The actors are needed from 6 - until close. 

If you want to help at the concession stands we could use a few more volunteers there as well. The concessions are from 6:30 until 8:30 but if you can't do it for the the full two hours we'd be happy to have your help for even a little time!

Monster Bash is Coming!!!

PTA NEEDS YOUR HELP!

The Monster Bash is fast approaching!  The PTA needs your help to make this a fun night for everyone. 

Volunteers and Donations are needed for:

• Candy/small prize donations
• Baked Goods for the cake walk
• Haunted Hause
• Decorating
• Help with games
• Concessions
• Clean Up

GATOR FITNESS CHALLENGE!!

The Fitness Challenge and Walk-A-Thon Fall Fundraiser will be held during school hours on

Friday, October 11, 2013

No selling and no door-to-door solicitations - just simple, request from friends and family sponsor your child to help raise money for Gombert.

Our goal is an average donation of $50.00 per student. 

Be assured, no student will be excluded from the Challenge/Spirit Assemblies, and everyone will receive a participation prize. 

100% of the proceeds go back to Gombert! 

Students will take part in the Gator Fitness Challenge & Walk-A-Thon, then celebrate their hard work at the end of the day Gator Spirit Assembly!

Everyone is a Winner!!

Each student & class has the opportunity to win awesome prizes!!

September 19th - Fundraising Packet Sent Home in Backpack Mail

October 8th - Fundraising Packet due back to school

October 11th - Gombert Fitness Challenge and Gombert Spirit Assembly

Parents: Recognize your child's hard work with a SHOUT-OUT message that will be displayed on the Wall of Shout-Out gator heads in the Gym during the Gator Challenge. 

For just $2 - that money will count towards your total amount donated (located under the PTA Forms tab)

Munchkins with Mom

Friday, September 27th

8:00 AM - 8:45 AM in the the Multi-Purpose Room

Gombert PTA invites all students to come share some morning donuts with their mom at this free social event.

Coffee, juice and milk will also be served.

Please RSVP the number of attendees by Sunday, Sept. 22.

Dads volunteers are also needed to help with setup, serving, and cleanup.

Let's Make This School Year Epic!!

The Gombert PTA hosts movie night 

On August 23rd at 7:30 pm come to Gombert and watch the movie Epic. Enjoy a movie under the stars while visiting with other Gombert families. 

Admission and popcorn are free! Other concessions will be sold so you can enjoy some snacks with the movie.

We hope to see everyone there! 

Annual Ice Cream Social

Gombert’s Ice Cream Social is Monday, August 19th at 2:30 until 3:30.  Bring your school supplies to your new classroom and meet your 2013-14 teacher!  If you ordered school supply kits, please stop in the gym to pick them up.  After meeting your teacher, stop into the Multi-Purpose room for a sweet ice cream treat courtesy of the Gombert PTA.  Don’t forget to check out the PTA table in the MPR for more information on upcoming PTA events.
